Overview

This two-day comprehensive course, offers the chance to develop your investigative interviewing skills like no other.  Advanced Investigative Interviewing covers the following topics in great detail:

• Investigative Interviewing
• Forensic Interviewing
• Cognitive Interviewing
• Detecting deceptive statements
• Structuring interview questions
• The Phased Interview Model
• Challenging witnesses
• Presenting Evidence during an interview
• Strategic Use of Evidence
• Dealing with aggressive witnesses
• Building rapport

Day 1: Comprehensive and detailed instruction of the above listed competencies, in a classroom setting. Candidates will participate in a variety of interactive exercises throughout the day, designed to assist in developing core competencies.

Day 2: After a summary of the previous day's events, candidates will participate in dynamic scenario-based role playing. This allows for participants to demonstrate and hone the skills they have acquired, in a realistic learning environment.

Based on the interactive and hands-on approach to the scenario-based learning, this course can facilitate a maximum of 8 candidates.

Alternate approaches can be arranged for employers wishing to train higher numbers of employees.
