Investigative Interviewing Training

Overview

This one-day course offers the opportunity to learn the basics for investigative interviewing. This course is designed to be applicable to all employees who interact and deal with individuals on a day-to-day basis, and not just for investigators.

Basic Investigative Interviewing covers the following topics in great detail:

• Investigative Interviewing
• Forensic Interviewing
• Detecting deceptive statements
• Structuring interview questions
• Dealing with aggressive witnesses
• Building rapport

Comprehensive and detailed instruction of the above listed competencies, in a classroom setting. Candidates will also participate in a variety of interactive exercises to assist in developing core competencies throughout the day.
